A Pair of Suspects Accused for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder after the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
