I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
